Why: If you want to see the fastest, smallest, most amazing micromouse robot creations in action, this is the place to be. Although the micromouse concept originated in the US, the Japanese quickly adopted, refined, and took it to a whole new level. In recent years builders from Singapore managed to wrest the top positions away from the Japanese, but experts are predicting that new Japanese designs, like Egg Torte, will leave overseas competitors in the dust. The event is open to the public, and admission is free.
Comment: I plan to attend the competition on Sunday, November 21st to watch the finals. The following day (Monday, November 22nd), I will be leading a tour of Akihabara and other interesting Tokyo venues for the overseas visitors.
