Used ReelDirector on the iPad to create a short (2 minute) video containing all the slides presented last night during the Ringo Mac User Group meeting at the Apple Store in the Ginza:
The presentation itself takes roughly 1 hour to go through, plus some time for Q&A interchange with the audience.
While you talk held numerous epiphanies for me, one new avenue that I tried to look into immediately was emobile and their pocket wifi. Unfortunately, there is a dearth of information in English, such as the plans they offer, etc. I see that they specialize in data communication, and have already rolled out an extensive 4G network in Japan, beating the major mobile phone players. And it seems that they do have something for voice communication, but I couldn’t quickly comprehend the details. Posts about their services in Japan might garner interest not only among us Japanese literacy-challenged gaijins here, but also among the IT literati abroad who might be curious about the state of mobile communications in Japan.
