Media Tectonics Presentation – July, 2010:
Good presentation. I wonder, as part of gathering notes, does the iPad support stylus and ocr?
What do you think of the iPad mini?
I loved your videos on the iPad productivity and tend to agree with you.
I like a lot, and use it everyday. Naturally, I would prefer a Retina display, but Apple will come out with that sooner or later.
The mini form factor is great. It fits my hand, and I can use it on the train even when I can’t get a seat. So far I haven’t found any significant problems or limitations with it.
Thanks for the kudos. I did the videos a couple years ago, and I’m even more positive now. Of course the applications that I use have changed a bit, and my workflow has continued to improve. If I was to redo the videos today I would include things like Siri and using Dragon Dictate to the mix. I’ve also reorganized my active file storage so that Dropbox is basically a dynamic Cloud Drive for me. That works extremely well, as long as I’m not working on very large files like video editing.
